Yesterday I had a training session up at the gym, it was going to be my first one since November. There was a little mix up and so I didn't get to work out with a trainer so instead I went up and did some cardio on the treadmill. I decided to run 2 minutes and walk 3 minutes and decided that I couldn't stop till I got to 1 mile. This was hard and I really wanted to stop but didn't since then I would have felt like I was disappointing myself by not getting to that goal. I finished it in 15:07.
Saturday's Workout
Yesterday I signed up for a training session for today so I got to the gym early so that I could warm up so I headed upstairs for the treadmill again. I did the same thing walk 3 minutes and run 2 minutes. My legs were trying to convince my brain that I needed to stop and walk more but I didn't give in. I finished my mile in 16:03 minutes a little slower than yesterday.
Then I went downstairs and worked out with the trainer her name is Cathy but goes by Cat. I haven't worked out with a female trainer so didn't know what to expect but decided to give it a try. We did upper body. She had me using a lot of the machines so that way we could change the weight up if needed to be (also so that it didn't irritate my wrist). I signed up for another session with her on Thursday.
