Not enough miles in for the Week,

I didn't think I would ever say that. I was looking at the plan that runners world had created for the 10 K race that I will be doing in August with my sister Amy, her husband Stefaan and my mom. I looked at the total miles for the week and saw that I was 2 miles short. I went up to the gym and did 2 miles on the treadmill in about 30 minutes give or take a couple of minutes. I had to stop the treadmill once to go to the bathroom, then I had to stop it again because Allie wanted to do the bicycle and the stair stepper and she didn't want me to be across the room from her. So after all the treadmill hopping I had a decent workout. I alternated between running and walking ever .25 miles. The running part starts to get hard at about the .20 part but I kept on with it. I would really love to be able to run longer than .25 miles at a time. I will keep working on this till I will eventually be able to run a mile without stopping (since that is one of my goals I am working on this year).

How many calories per minute do you burn by treadmill hopping? This could be a whole new cardio discipline!
