Happy New Year


As I look back at 2009 to see what all I have accomplished in my goals that I had made on January 1st 2009 I am sad to say that I have only accomplished one of my goals.


Here was my list from January 1,2009:


To run a mile without stopping


Run a 5k race under 40 minutes ( I did accomplish this at the Vineyard Race this fall 39:51 was my time)


To try an exercise class out at the gym (maybe yoga)


Then I added up how many miles that I had done this year which was 169.76 miles which was more than I thought I had done.


Goals for 2009 :




  • Run a mile without stopping


  • Able to run a 5K race without taking a walk break


  • Finish my challenge on Nike+ Run a total of 500 miles in 2010 (and any other challenges that I may sign up for.)


  • To try an exercise class at the gym (hopefully this will be the year that I do this since it has been a goal of mine since 2008)


  • To be accepted into the teaching program at Texas Woman's University.

After thinking about my goals I decided to go up to the gym and run on the treadmill. I ended up doing 2.03 miles for the first day of the new year.
