Saturday's Workout

Last week I was talking with my sister Jenny and she convinced me that I just needed to pick a class and get it over with but the class I wanted to do was water aerobics on Thursday night (well Thursday was cold and rainy and I didn't want to even think about getting into a pool when it's cold outside). So I didn't go... and needless to say Jenny asked me tonight if I got my exercise class goal out of the way. I had to tell her no but will have it checked off by the end of next week.
Then we were talking about the training program that I am doing and next week I will have to run for 8 minutes and walk for 5 minutes twice. Jenny says that I can do it and will see about it tomorrow. She will be cheering me on long distance. She pointed out that 8 minutes is just 3 more than the 5 miles that I did today. Now if I can only keep thinking like the little caboose, "I think I can , I think I can, I think I can" and it will happen.
Today I went up to the gym and did 30 minutes on the treadmill walking for 5 minutes and running for 5 minutes at a speed of 5.0 on the treadmill. I did about 2. 30 miles. I am slowly crossing off miles on my goal of 500 for the year.

Good for you! I know you'll get to your class goal...pick something relaxing, like yoga.
