I had initially signed up to run a 5k race today but then earlier this week my professor had sent out an email saying that he would do a review before our test so I decided that I would just do the 5k on my own. I started out slower than I would have liked my right leg was hurting me a bit and I had told myself if I get to the 1 3/4 marker on the path that I could turn around. Then when I got there I talked myself into going to the 2 mile marker. I did this in 33 minutes. The 3rd mile I finished in 13.03 minutes and the 4th mile I finished in 15 minutes.
Miles for the week: 10.11

You are having a great week, keep it up! How did your test go?
Good for you to bite the bullet and hang in there! keep up the great work, only eight more weeks to go!
Congrats on going the extra mile!! The beauty of a "there and back" course is that you can talk yourself into extra mileage on the front end when you are still fresh, and then you have no choice but to be committed, LOL.
You and I sound a lot alike: I have to do a lot of bargaining, bribing and negotiating with myself sometimes. I'm a non-athlete (30 years of my life I did NOTHING) so I don't have that motivation hard-wired into me like natural athletes do. I wish I did, but I don't (though I can say that you do start to get some wiring in place once you've been doing it for a while!). I'm impressed you are working through pain and getting it done!! That's not easy!
